Make it
Method
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Brown all eight sausages in a dry nonstick pan, turning for about 8–10 minutes; they will finish cooking in the oven. Whisk 100 g plain flour with two eggs (110 g), 15 g grated horseradish and 225 ml milk until smooth.
Pour the measured 45 ml vegetable oil into a deep approximately 30 × 25 cm roasting dish. Heat the dish in the oven for about 5 minutes until the oil is hot, then carefully add the sausages and pour the batter around them.
Scatter 200 g cherry tomatoes over the top and bake for about 30 minutes without opening the oven door during the first 25 minutes. The batter should be high and golden; check a sausage at its centre for at least 71°C.
Rest for 5 minutes and divide the dish into five portions. There are eight sausages in the batch, so some portions contain one and others two; the displayed nutrition is an average of the entire batch divided by five.
